Description: Manufactured in January of 1996, these Classic Boyd wheels were the icon of the 1990s Hot Rod era. These model wheels were the 044 "Side Steps" featured in the 1995 Boyds Wheels Catalog under the Cast Cruisers line. A 2-Piece Aluminum Construction, these wheels started out as a low pressure cast aluminum which was cast right here in the USA at Boyd's Southern California foundry. Then, they were CNC machined via the exact same machines that were used to carve out the billet Boyds. After that, these CNC machined centers from there were welded to the aluminum barrels making them 2-Piece welded construction. Next, the smooth knock-off style center caps were each CNC engraved with the BOYD's logo and then paired with their respective wheels. After that, the final step that not only these wheels got, along with every other Classic Boyd wheel that was made during this time period, was a painstaking hand finish & polish, resulting in jewelry-like perfection that has been coveted by many hot rodders for many years. Pride is just not taken in the production of wheels offered on the market today, nor is the quality nearly comparable. Comes with Goodyear 195/55r15 tires with less than 2,000 miles on them.
