Description: VINTAGE 1977 KENNER (TSUKUDA) STRETCH MONSTER. rare among the vintage rare stretch figures. These seriously almost never come up. A unicorn of vintage Stretch figures. I have come across more of the coveted Stretch Serpents than I have these in my collecting. A mini one did come up not long back, went for $800. Vintage with the exception of the box and ribbons. The vintage coffin (they never came with lids) is in decent shape, some cracks near the ribbon holes (see pic) but solid overall. The instructions are vintage and in nice shape. The figure is vintage with original syrup. It has a decent size tear in the front of the neck, common on these. I have wrapped the figure with clear wrap (see pics), and will mark the shipping box with THIS SIDE UP instructions in hopes of keeping the figure right side up during shipping.Some syrup loss, common. Some discoloration on the body, also common among these Japanese Monsters. THE BOX IS REPRODUCTION AND THE RIBBONS ARE REPRODUCTTION. The box is scaled to the original and made with scans from an original box. It may be a custom but it's as close to the real thing as they come, and better than nothing. Again, these don't come up. The green ribbons were originally used to secure the figure in the coffin. I do not recommend using them to secure now, seeing that the figure is so old. All in all a GREAT display piece. These vintage figures should be displayed in their coffin, laying flat with the head end elevated about an inch high. THEY SHOULD NOT BE STRETCHED. It is also recommended that you coat them once or twice a year with 100% pure silicone oil to help preserve the latex. As is, no returns.
