Vintage 1972 Fender Stratocaster pickguard pickup assembly pots Hendrix Gilmour

Description: Original 1972 Fender Stratocaster Complete drop in pickup, electronics pickguard assembly Original matched set of grey back pickups, all dated to 1972. All 3 measure between 5.5-5.69k ohms. Original pots- Visible pot codes dated - 36th week of 1972 Original crl1452 3 way switch The ground solder for the pickups at the volume pot has been cleaned up and re-done in a combination with new and original solder. The middle and neck pickups were re-soldered at the switch. The tone control for the middle pickup has had it’s solders reflowed. The middle tone pot had a ground wire on the back of the pot that has since been removed and cleaned up (hardly noticeable) All the plastic is Original earlier spec 1972 Fender plastic, the pickguard is the earlier style with the truss notch. Like a 1970-1971 four bolt Strat would have. The knobs, covers and switch tip are the earlier plastic that tended to yellow/discolour more than the later 1972 plastics. The pickguard has two cracks - 1 -superficial top layer from the middle pickup lower height adjustment screw.2- the lower tip below the bottom tone control had broken off, it has been glued on. It is solidly affixed to the body with the lower mounting screw, however it is worth noting. Overall this is a really nice complete Original 1972 Fender Stratocaster pickup/pickguard assembly. These matched complete sets are becoming near impossible to find as most of these guitars were heavily modded throughout the years.
