Description: This vintage 1970s era stoneware jar was made by Charles Rothschilde and Gloria Nepstead at their Bar-Lo studio in Oregon.I have a few of their pieces and mostly see Charles' name in my searches. I'm fond of their glazing work. I recall reading that Charles hand formed their pottery and Gloria did the glazing, but I could be wrong. This jar is in excellent condition. It measures 8" at the widest point and about 10" tall. It's quite substantial, and the color blocking is beautiful in person. My apologies for the quality of the photos. It looks like a chip in the photo of the lid, but it's not. It's the texture from the stoneware and glazing. The lid fits nicely onto this jar. Please message me with any questions you may have. Thank you.
