Featuring a charming wide-eyed grey Poodle dog with happy expression, open mouth and pink tongue, painting is signed MARY BETH ALEXANDER and complete with the artist's Rustics ~ Handpainted Originals label on the back - I purchased this in Ohio back in the 1970s. Complete with drilled holes threaded with sturdy leather knotted hanging cord, back bears tiny felt pads to protect the wall - slate edge has been chipped away to form the curved top shape. Condition is lovely with no damage - all the inconsistencies of a natural slate piece - no scratches, cracks or other issues to the paint.
