ALL METAL PARTS are made from CARBON STEEL as WAR EFFORTS required all BRASS to be used for SHELL CASINGS as BRASS was in very short suppy. The HANDLE covering (SCALES) were made from BOVINE SHIN BONES and are very appreciated for history WW11 knife collectors. The knife cleaned up very well, with some slight surface pitting on each blade. Knife was made to stand up to all that was required of it, Knifes weight is 3.5 oz. ,Cutting blade length is 2 1/2 inches, Butt end to the cutting blades tip is 6 1/4 inches.
