Description: Offered here is an excellent condition Vintage 1939 14K Yellow Gold Men's Wedding Band manufactured by J.R. Wood Art carved Company. The ring weight is 4.00 grams. The ring size is between a 10 1/2 and 10 3/4 as pictured in my photo on the ring sizer. This could also be a unisex ring for a larger finger. The jewelers mark is 14K with a sideways W for Wood, and the signature is in a cursive style which was used in the 1930's and the early 1940's. Art Carved was the only jewelry company permitted by the United States government to produce gold wedding rings during World War II. This is a family ring and was worn by only one person who married in 1940 during the war. The band is shiny with vintage wear patina and is lovely as is, just rubbed with a polishing cloth. If the ring was taken to a jeweler and polished professionally, it would look brand new. I will include the new black leatherette ring box shown in the pics. This is the exact ring you will receive.
