Vintage 10" Schrade Bone Handled Bowie Knife, Brass Hand Guard and Leather Case

Description: If you're looking for a shinny new looking Vintage 10" long Model 171UH Schrade Bowie Knife then this old boy isn't for you. I've skinned and quartered more deer with this knife with the 5 ½" blade, then most any of my other knives over the years. I cleaned and scaled even more fish. This is a true working knife that holds a great edge. I have over the years sharpen the top side of the front 1½" part of the blade, so that I could get into tight spots deep in a deer carcass, it works great. The carbon blade has a patina that helps to show the knife's age. The handle is held snug in place by a full tang with a brass hand guard on front and a brass cap and screw on back. The case even shows its age as it has protected this workhorse for many years. There's a little holding case for a cheap honing stone that I lost years ago. It was there for looks as it was way too small to put a good edge on this knife. This old boy has quite a few good years left, unfortunately I don't.
