The word vegvisir itself means "wayfinder" and "sign post" in Icelandic language. This ring recreates some of the power and mystery surrounding the Vegvisir by surrounding it with the entire runic alphabet. It also has a Valknut on each side of the band. A great deal has been written about the meaning and symbolism of the Valknut symbol, but simply put, the design involves three interlocking triangles and is associated with Odin, death, and the afterlife.
