Following the introduction of Hull’s Zane Grey line series of blue banded yellow ware in the 1920’s, they decided they needed an upscale version of their pottery to increase sales. This slip dot floral pattern decorated with navy and peach dot flowers and white glaze bands is the result of that effort. Unfortunately for Hull and for collectors, producing this pottery was labor intensive and Hull dropped this series shortly after it was introduced. This custard was made using the same molds as were used for other Hull custards. The custard is decorated with 6 slip dot navy and peach flowers bordered by 2 white bands. Measuring 3” in width by 2 ¼”in height, this is in original mint condition with no post production damage or repairs. This is a wonderful piece of American yellow ware pottery any collector would appreciate and be pleased to own.
