Description: History : The order of the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union ( 1941-1945) was established on May 20 , 1942. by command of Stalin.This order was awarded to all soldiers in the Soviet armed forces, security troops, partizans for heroic deeds during the Great Patriotic War. It was awarded in 2 classes ( Class 1 and Class 2 )This Order specifically - 1985 year issue, Class Ⅱ Type Ⅲ. On 1985 to honour of the 40th Anniversary of the Victory all alive participants of the Great Patriotic War was rewarded . Class 1 - 2054000 , Class 2 - 5408000. Interesting facts : It was the first Soviet Order established during the war and the first Soviet Order divided into classes.For 35 years till 1977 it was the only Order which the relatives of the owner could keep in their possession even after the owner's death .
