Description: I bought this stamp on Ebay in 1997 as a Scott 282c, the Type I 10c Webster with unbroken lines under the TEN CENTS text at the bottom of the design. It even has 282C written in light pencil on one of the hinge remnants on the back (See photo). But now I see it does have breaks under the E of TEN and T of CENTS which means it's the brown color variation of the Type II Scott 283! It's probably too late to get a refund from that purchase in 1997, but this nicely centered stamp is now correctly identified and can be yours at a fair price. Free Shipping!
