Description: Beginning in 1972, the USPS has issued a "Souvenir Page" of each of its stamp issues. A Souvenir Page is an 8 inch X 10.5 inch sheet, on color paper, that describes the stamp issue and also features the stamp itself and its First Day of Issue cancellation. Collectors find these souvenir pages highly desirable, and even suitable for framing. This USPS official souvenir page honors the 40th president of the United States, Ronald Reagan (1911-2004). Reagan lived an interesting life, first as a Hollywood actor, then as a TV host (of the series Death Valley Days,) and then into politics as governor of California in 1967. Elected to the Presidency in 1980, he won re-election by a landslide in 1984 and was one of the most personally popular presidents in American history. This USPS souvenir page carries the Reagan stamp and the First Day of Issue cancellation dated February 9, 2005. This page would be a wonderful gift to the Reagan fan, or a great addition to any FDC collection! See the scan for details.
