The regiment consists of three Ranger battalions: the 1st Ranger Battalion, the 2nd Ranger Battalion, and the 3rd Ranger Battalion. During the Vietnam War, Ranger-qualified soldiers from various units served in Vietnam, but the modern 75th Infantry Regiment itself was not formed until after the war.
