Description: Up for auction is an Ultra-rare Original Corgi Toys #248 Chevy Impala w/ Cast Wheels in original box. I understand Corgi made a small number of Impalas with cast wheels during the final production run. One of these sold on QDT in 2021 for over 500 British pounds. QDT told me they have only seen one. This model is in excellent condition. Overall, a very clean model with bright shiny paint, except chrome side strips have some tarnishing / chrome wear. Additionally, the suspension has failed on this car, so it is a "low-rider". Otherwise, a very nice example of a very, very rare car with cast wheels. The box is fairly crisp and complete, but one end flap has been discretely reattached. See pictures. General note: I am listing 30-50 Corgi / Dinky Toys as I downsize my collection. Some of these are new old stock, but displayed in my collection for years. Some will be near mint / mint condition and will be noted as such. Others will be models I bought as part of larger collections and the details regarding originality, repaints, etc. are not known for sure. I have never modified or repainted any items, but cannot guarantee what a prior owner may have done. If I suspect a repaint or modification, I will note accordingly. I will do my best to identify any issues but will be taking high-definition pictures for you to make your own judgement on originality and quality.
