Description: This listing is for 4 weld on flanged threaded blind hole bungs. .990" outside head diameter with a .625"(+/-.002) diameter stem. 1/2-13 thread. Thread depth is min. .500" deep. .200"(+/-.010) head height. Overall length is .900" These are great if you are wanting to add a threaded hole to a tank but want a sealed threaded hole to avoid leaks. Or you are just wanting to add threads to thin aluminum. Just drill a 5/8" hole, pop the insert in and weld it up. Made from USA made 6061 aluminum and machined in the USA. Inserts are also ultrasonic cleaned to remove oils and cutting fluids that would burn off during welding. The large head diameter helps minimize thread distortion. There is a slight radius in the corner from the stem to the head. It is advised to slightly chamfer the 5/8" hole to allow the insert to seat flush. Please ask any questions you have before buying.
