I think it is a great piece for anyone looking for something that leans toward the contemporary jazz/smooth jazz/R&B, but also wants to be able to play some straight ahead convincingly. This piece is super easy to play and has a big sound. Another sax player who is currently playing this mouthpiece is Nelson Rangell. This piece comes with a ligature, cap, box, pouch, and screwdriver--basically everything you need to get going. The cap is normally sold separately so you're getting added value :-). This mouthpiece has a step baffle and a medium chamber so you get a full sound that still cuts through. These sell for $675 new so I've priced it to sell.
