Description: Theatre Arts, Inc.Theatre Arts Magazine Vintage Promotional Herald / Flyer Up for auction is a vintage promotional advertising herald or flyer, measuring approximately 3.25 by 5.5 inches in size (when closed) and approximately 9.75 by 5.5 inches in size (when fully opened). Heralds are advertising flyers that are typically placed at theaters, and sometimes included in Playbills and Programs. This single sheet, double fold, multi-section postcard size herald is printed on card stock, and serves as a subscription order form for "Theatre Arts Magazine". Theatre Arts Magazine was a magazine that was published from 1916 through 1964, under the various names of: "Theatre Arts", "Theatre Arts Monthly" and "Theatre Arts Magazine". The magazine covered in depth aspects of the theatre world, including music, dance and emerging artists. This brochure was an outreach to various students, teachers, librarians and performers of the arts of the theatre, describing the benefits of the magazine for them. The souvenir herald is in great, vintage condition, with no rips, tears or damage, and minimal soiling and wear. However, the herald has been addressed to the Echo Dramatic Club of Philadelphia, and there is a date, in pencil, next to their address (possibly the date that it was received), as well as the red sticker that would have sealed the brochure for mailing.
