Description: Eight volume set of "The Spectator" by Joseph Addison and Richard Steele. These are from 1767, in context, the United States was yet to elect a president. These measure approximately 4 1/2 x 7 inches. These are bound in leather that show some wear and a bit of rubbing, but have held up over time. The titles of two books are missing on the spines. There is a bookplate that was affixed to the inside of each cover that is still resent or was attempted to be removed with little success. For their age, I would say these are in surprisingly good condition. Free shipping.
