This is the second painting in a small series of paintings I created of this wonderful hotel, which has a large pool, hot tub, and fountain all in a row leading out to a path directly to the Miami Beach! This hotel is not modern, but rather is truly authentic art deco architecture both inside and out, and I love how the owners have kept it original. Her father has placed (numerous times) in the top tenth percentile in state and federal duck stamp art contests, and her mother has sold work at a local gallery. Kristi studied art at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts (NOAFA), and is also self-taught. She has sold work at local shows and galleries, and has exhibited in shows in New Orleans and in northwest Caddo Parish, including Centenary College's Meadows Museum of Art and Artspace in downtown Shreveport. In 2011, she was awarded a visual arts grant from the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC).
