Dr. Urie, an avid book collector,was sometimes visited at his manse "Kilbarchan" in Kincardine O'Neilby a young Queen Elizabeth II when she was staying at Balmoral. Hisfather, minister of the same parish, was a close friend of Sir James Reid who was Queen Victoria's chief physician. Dr. Urie had a habit ofplacing newspaper cuttings inside his books, usually obituaries as inthis case from The Times newspaper of 30 March 1953.
