Description: First edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Lady & The Sharks by Eugenie Clark (Harper & Row, 1969). A very hard to find true first edition of this memoir of a life of marine biology, adventure and discovery during the author’s time as Director of the Camp Haze Marine Laboratory in Florida in the 1950s & 1960s. Jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with mild rubbing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Creases and tear to top edge of front jacket cover. Boards are straight and clean but with corners mildly bumped. Binding is firm though spine leans slightly and binding material is very faintly visible in a few gutters. All pages are clean and unmarked though slightly tanned. See photos for condition. Packaged with care and shipped via USPS Media Mail
