Description: The Knave of Hearts ~ LOUISE SAUNDERS ~ MAXFIELD PARRISH First Edition 1st Printing 1925Hard Cover 11.75" x 14" x 5/8"Original Black Cloth With applied color print on Front Original owner applied clear plastic sleeve which can easily be removed. It has a tear on the back side which did not damage the cloth cover. The book is complete with all of the Maxfield Parrish illustrations. The colorful art decorating the end papers is spectacular. The first title page and several other pages show some foxing and slight gutter cracking. Ownership page is signed by first owner. Inside pages 4&5 have an intact tissue sheet separating the color plate of the girl from the second color title/copyright page. I am not a pro book appraiser, I found this one in an estate sale. It appears to be the equal + of any copy available here.
