Van Nostrand, Inc.~"An encyclopedia of tools, materials, methods, and directions"compiled by several authors. 804 pages not counting the Foreword and Content pages. Certainly has been read/used as reference, but appearsto have been treated with some care. Couldbe still used as a reference as some information is stillrelevant ... some is outdated as the section on how to createdifferent paint mixtures, which includes lead as aningredient.I used it as an accessory in a "Man Cave"/study along with several other old reference books that I also have listed. Wear to the black cloth cover - scuffs, light scratches,creased spine, bumped and worn corners down to the cardboard.(shown in photos #17 through #21) Several pages have the top or bottom corner folded or bent. (Examples shown in photos #22 and #23)Some spots on the edges of the pages and the top edges of thepages have darkened from age as can be seen in photo #4.Something that was used to hold a place in the book for years has caused a darkening of the paper of the pages, which can be seen in the last photo.
