Description: THE DOORS " 1967 NEAR MINT" ALBUM. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail. I bought this record shortly after it was released in the 60’s because I had never heard anything as original and mind blowing as The Doors music before. A few months before I purchased the album I was lucky enough to go to the Fillmore and see the Doors play live for their first time playing in the Bay Area. The show was Jefferson Airplane, Jr. Wells and the Chicago Blues Band, and third on the list was the Doors. Their music was so good and Jim Morrison in a skin tight leather outfit blew the other two bands away. I couldn’t understand why I was hearing a bass sound when there was no bass player. Then as I was watching Ray Manzarek playing organ I finally could see that he had an organ that could produce a bass line with one hand and the organ music with his other. The reason my copy of this album is worth more is because I only played it once to record it very carefully handling it, then put it in a protective cover in a climate controlled environment so no deterioration could happen over time knowing It was an early copy of one of the best psychedelic rock albums of all time and will only become worth more as time rolls on.
