Set is in good to good+ condition for the age of the books. Navy blue board covers with gilt titling and monogram design. Page tops are gilded but faded.Bindings are sound, pages lightly tanned, some foxing on page edges. All cover/spine edges show some rubbing and wear. All books have the testimonial stamp issued for the Dickens Centenary Fund pasted inside the back cover. The single book pictures is of Book 17, Dickens' Picture Book, which is pretty representative of the condition of all the books. eBay is limited to 24 pictures, if you need more let me know. Owner purchased the set in 1987 at the Dickens House Museum in London and was told the set originally came from a monastery or abbey.
