Description: Rare original antique engraving print from an 1850s illustrated journal. It depicts the roayl boat of King Pinklao of Thailand, as fell as a floating Bamboo hut. Surrounding the pictures is a long article on "The Voyage to Siam" that continues on the back. The third picture is of Norfolk Island, the new home of the Pitcairnees. Presumable a port stop on the way to Thailand.King Rama IV, also know as Mongkut and reigning title Phra Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua was the fourth monarch of Siam (Thailand) under the House of Chakri, ruling from 1851 to 1868. Mongkut was also known for his appointing his brother, Prince Chutamani, as Second King, crowned in 1851 as King Pinklao. The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 11 x 15 inches (28 x 38 cm). The picture fills most of it, measuring about 9 x 13 inches, with a caption below it. The page is in excellent condition for its age. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition. This print will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
