Taxco 950 Silver Native American Style Pendant Chiapas Amber W/4 Fossil Insects

Description: With amber from the era of the dinosaurs, this beautiful Taxco pendant features a natural example of amber with inclusions of at least 4 fossil insects. Please enlarge the pictures to see them all, one looks like a lacewing and is very visible with the naked eye. The pendant is made of 950 sterling silver and has a bezel setting style. It is handmade in Taxco and is marked Taxco 950, AC for Abraham Castro the silversmith and WBY for my gallery Way Back Yonder Antiques and Jewelry. The pendant measures about 4" high including the bail, and 1-3/4" wide at the leaves. The amber measures about 2 inches high and 1-1/2 inches wide. Total weight is approx 48.4 grams. Notice that the amber glows under black light, proving that it is authentic. The bail is very detailed and created by lost wax casting. The pendant is perfect for anyone who loves the Native American style, nature, animals, and insects, or has an interest in fossils. The asymmetrical shape of the amber stone adds a unique touch to the piece. This large piece of amber was left in the large state in order to maintain the number of insect inclusions, as slicing it would have destroyed some of the fossils.
