This configuration produces an articulate, well balanced string response when using a plectrum or playing finger style. The pickup arrangement captures vibration not only from the string pressure but the energy produced from the soundboard resonance as well! The CP100D pickup is NOT a conventional under the saddle piezo pickup! The CP100D will work with Nylon, Bronze and Nickel strings. The CP100D is a SPLIT version of the CP100; it achieves its string compensation from the off set split which also gives the instrument a more balanced sound between the wound and unwound strings. IMPORTANT: If you desire to lower your string action by adjusting the height of the saddle remove material from the TOP of the saddle not the BOTTOM. If you modify the BOTTOM as you would a conventional saddle it will destroy the seating integration of the saddles and their interaction with the pickup element rendering them useless electronically.
