Description: This is an extremely ornate Italian Montagnani antique silver plate serving fork and "slotted" spoon. Definitely conversation pieces and perfect for the coming holiday entertainment. The fork has gorgeous detailed pattern with a lion with a scepter, winding vines, flowers, cherubs, and a lion face between the handle and fork. Measures approx: 10.5" long 2.75" wide The spoon is topped by a sword in the middle of a fleur de lis and the handle winding down with vines, flowers, and a cherub. Again a lion's face separates the handle and the cup of the spoon which is adorned with two cherubs. Measures approx: 9.75" long 3" wide The pieces are not marked. Montagnani utensils that are not marked are said to have been made from 1871 to 1891.
