Description: We are pleased to offer this hard-to-find Steuben Special Frog. It is not a hand cooler. It is one of a series of Special Animals (Shapes 5500 through 5508) that Steuben introduced in 1971 & 1972 to provide smaller, less costly Steuben animals. The Special Animals were hand formed whereas the hand coolers that replaced them are pressed or molded. The Special Frog is a 1971 Lloyd Atkins design. The Special Frog is 2" tall and 3 & 1/8" wide. It is signed Steuben on the bottom. This example is in excellent condition. Back when I was exhibiting at shows, I regularly sold this Special Frog for $300. Times have changed and I am offering it with a buy-it-now of $100 but will consider any reasonable offer. Note that I have a separate listings for several Special Animals and will combine these pieces for shipping. I will be traveling from January 20 through February 3, 2024 so anything purchased between now and February3 will not be shipped until after February 4.
