These were sent to media outlets for promotional purposes, to be used by writers doing reviews or features about the films, and were not sold at retail stores. -----What You Will Get in This Auction----- This auction is for a folder-style press kit for the theatrical release of the 2005 movie "STAR WARS EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH" (which I also will spell as Star Wars Episode 3 in case anyone is searching for it that way) starring Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. Note that this copy is missing the digital photo CD-ROM that originally came with it -- but the minimum bid amount on this auction is LESS THAN HALF of what it is on my auction running right now for a complete copy that includes the CD-ROM! What a deal! It comes with the outer folder, two magazine-style booklets and a fold-open "Star Wars Family Tree." Details: The outer color folder measures 9 inches by 12 inches. Its main flaw: The slot on the inside left "flap" where the CD-ROM would go has a split at the middle and a short tear at the right side of that slot (see close-up photo). The folder also has slight "bumps" to three of its corners, a couple of short creases extending from the bottom edge, and some minor impressions. It's not a disaster, but just be aware that it has those flaws. The fold-open "Star Wars Family Tree" came with a crease down the center (so it can fit in the folder), and measures 17 inches by 11 inches unfolded. One side is heroes (Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Han Solo, etc.) "descended" from Anakin Skywalker, the other side is villains (Darth Sidious, Emperor Palpatine, etc.) "descended" from Darth Vader. Printed on nice glossy stock, suitable for framing! The 44-page (including covers) magazine-style booklet of production notes includes making-of info and info about the cast and crew. Cover is matte-finish white cardstock, interior is black text on white pages. Perfect condition. The 16-page (including covers) "A Guide to The Galaxy" booklet is printed on nice glossy stock, with a centerspread "Star Wars Through the Years" timeline (shown in photo above). The text includes a synopsis for each "Star Wars" movie, a page devoted to sound effects, a feature about the real-world locations of several "Star Wars" settings (with eight color photo images), and three "Star Wars" trivia quizzes.
