ABOUT OUR DEEP CARVE PROCESS The CERAMIC used in these pieces consists of up cycled material which, when complete, produces a vintage look via deep blast engraving. Each item is hand DEEP ETCHED. This is NOT a chemical process. The development of your order consists of the following steps- -Item to be etched is first primed. Any impurities are removed. -After a thorough cleaning, a mask of the design is created with a proprietary film by a using a high concentration electric beam. Our masks can capture detail less than 1mm. -Mask is applied to the object where it is then, for a second time, cleared of any foreign object which may impair a crisp image on the item being carved. -With the mask securely adhered to the item, high pressure silicone-carbide, also known as carborundum, creates a deep carved image. -The mask and any residual silicon carbide are then meticulously removed from the product. -A final thorough ultrasonic bath is applied to the item and inspected.EVERY PRODUCT SOLD IS HAND CRAFTED AND PRODUCES A CLEAN, ATTRACTIVE PIECE FOR YOUR PLEASURE.
