St Stanislaus Kostka is a popular Polish saint who was so devoted to the Holy Eucharist that during his very short life (he died at 18) he was visited by St Barbara in a vision who brought him the Eucharist. He had been housed, due to cruelty from his brother, in a Lutheran household and when he became ill, they refused to send for a priest. He recovered from his illness, through a miracle from Our Lady, however he died soon after becoming a Jesuit. This is a saint for modern times when we see a lack of reverence for Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist even in our own Catholic Churches. St Stanislaus is the patron saint of broken bones, which may have something to do with the abuse he suffered from his brother, which may also make him a good patron for sibling abuse, too. He is also the patron saint of the Sacraments, especially the "last" sacraments; he helps to make sure a person receives the sacrament of the sick and the Holy Eucharist which were so cruelly withheld from him.
