Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation (1993). Born in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow secondary art school (1954), Moscow State Art Institute. V. I. Surikov (1960), studied in the poster workshop with M. M. Cheremnykh, N. A. Ponomarev. Performed film posters for the publishing house "Reklamfilm" (1959-1970). Since 1961, he worked in the field of socio-political posters in the publishing houses Fine Art, Soviet Artist, Plakat and others. Since 1962 - collaborated with the workshop "Agitplakat" of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Author of many political and social posters; addressed various topics: space, armed forces, science and production, education of schoolchildren and youth. Some works were created in collaboration with fellow students at the institute (Karakashev, Levshunova, Ostrovsky). One of those who introduced a new aesthetics, a new plastic idea and beauty into the political poster. This was not in the posters of that time, as a rule.
