Improved to an unrecognisable level, the AI autofocus has impressive subject recognition that uses human pose estimation to assume where the face and eyes of the subject are, even when the subject is not facing the camera. This pose estimation can recognise and track human joints to build up a picture of the entire human form, presenting the possibility to track like never before. Animal, Aeroplane, Car and Insect AF Mode Continuing to feature traditional autofocus modes including Human, Eye & Animal, the Alpha 7RV also includes the more specific modes of Aeroplane, Car, and Insect. The animal-detect mode in particular sees further improvements based on the new deep-learning algorithm.
