Description: The SolarEdge poweroptimizer is a DC/DC converter which is connected by installers to each solarmodule turning them into smart modules. The SolarEdge power optimizers increaseenergy output from PV systems by constantly tracking the maximum power point (MPPT)of each module individually. Furthermore, the power optimizers monitor theperformance of each module and communicate performance data to the SolarEdgemonitoring platform for enhanced, cost-effective module-level maintenance. Eachpower optimizer is equipped with the unique SafeDC feature which is designed toautomatically reduce modules' DC voltage to a safe level whenever the inverteror grid power is shut down (unless connected to a StorEdge Inverter that isoperating in backup mode). Module-level MPPT The MPPT per module allowsfor flexible installation design with multiple orientations, tilts and moduletypes in the same string. When working with SolarEdge inverters, the poweroptimizers automatically maintain a fixed string voltage, allowing installerseven greater flexibility with longer strings and strings of different lengthsin order to design optimal PV systems. The SolarEdge power optimizers arecompatible with c-Si, thin-film, and high current modules and have a 25-yearwarranty.
