The book documents the activities of participants, including a survey of the glaciation of the Mono Creek Watershed; a study of volcanism on the Volcanic Knob Plateau; notes on the 594 species of plants collection for the California Academy of Sciences; bird inventories; and accounts of various hikes and climbs. Additionally, there are many creative works included in the book, such as poems and songs reportedly sung around the camp fire, as well as drawings.
