Description: Circa late 1910s to early 1920s cabinet photo of George Parmeter (1854-1922; foreground), pioneer cowboy saddle maker in his shop in Sheridan, Wyoming. Pictured with him are his son Claude (1896-1933; second from left), Thomas James and Strong. George Parmeter came to Sheridan on January 17, 1893 and established his saddle shop at 31 First Street. All 6 of his sons served during WWI. An advertisement for Parmeter's shop from the May 21, 1912 Sheridan Post is attached in the photos (for reference only). An interesting article, published at the time of his death, from the February 17, 1922 Casper (Wyoming) Daily Tribune about George Parmeter's aversion to automobiles is also attached in the photos (for reference only). * CONDITION: Very Good with a crease at the lower right. * SIZE: Measures approximately 7 7/8 x 10 inches.
