Description: This is a set of 9 antique books that are part of the Rollo series by Jacob Abbott. The books were published by Sheldon & Company in New York in 1864. All of the books have charming illustrations/engravings. These books have been part of a library collection and have stamps indicating that. This set includes the following books: —Rollo at Play —Rollo at School —Rollo’s Experiments —Rollo’s Vacation —Rollo at Work —Rollo’s Museum —Rollo’s Correspondence —Rollo’s Philosophy (Sky) —Rollo’s Philosophy (Fire) The condition of the books varies but overall, it is consistent with the age (over 150 years old) and being children books. Nearly all have at least 1 crack in the binding. Two have been repaired with tape. All of the books have some degree of tanning and small stains are scattered through the pages. The covers have wear consistent with their age. I have tried to show the range of condition in the photos. It is rare to find a single Rollo book and this set of 9 books is a unique opportunity.
