Description: In 1993 Marvel started publishing the Secret Defenders title. Beginning with issue #2 the cover price was $1.75. Direct copies of issue #7 have the $1.75 cover price. Newsstand copies were printed with a $1.25 cover price. Newsstand copies are tough to find and you'll probably only find direct editions on Ebay. There's a story behind this but I haven't found it. Here's my guess. Marvel printed the $1.25 cover price in error. Some of the other September 1993 Marvel comics did have a $1.25 cover price. So somehow the newsstand copies of this issue were printed with a $1.25 cover price. When Marvel found this error they sent the stickers to newsstands for them to cover the price. Thus any copies with the sticker don't have it in the exact same location. I think the newsstand version is tough to find because Marvel probably told retailers they could return unsold copies and those were then destroyed. I think there may be around 30 copies of the newsstand edition with the sticker and around 15 without a sticker. I'll include a raw copy of the direct edition with your order.
