I am not a real figures guy, so I was not surprised that I had not heard of Royal Darwin figures. A Google search doesn’t reveal much, so I assume the outfit is no longer in business. Their website (www.royaldarwin.com) is gone, but their box has the best clue as to their story. The company address is on Crowley Drive in Carrolton Texas. Many of you will recognize that as the home of Squadron Products. I assume that at some point in the life of the company, ownership was held by Squadron. The box I am looking at has a 2010 date, so these items may be long Out Of Production. Here is what I have found about this intricately detailed figurine: This sportsman's delight exhibits a fine scaly texture and delicate fins as he glides over a base of faux submerged tree branch. One of the most recognized freshwater game fish is the Small Mouth Bass (Micropterus Dolomieu). The fish derives its name from the fact that the rear end of the lower jaw does not extend past the eye like its counterpart the Largemouth Bass. The species resides in lakes and bays where waters are cold and clear and the bottoms are composed of rock and gravel. The preferred water temperature is 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The male is in charge of the eggs which hatch in 3-4 days. They mature at the age of three to four years, but can live up to ten to twelve years. The normal weight is less than three pounds with a length of eight to fifteen Inch.
