Description: New from Rotor Ron, the Win Light line of high performance drag racing LiPo Batteries. The goal was simple, produce a high performance lipo that would not break the bank. No fancy boxes and stickers, just performance at a fair price. This battery has the latest technology from with super-low resistance graphene cell chemistry. These cells are the best of the best on the market. This battery features low internal resistance (IR) along with enhanced PUNCH all racers crave. This battery is developed for No Prep Drag Racing with cells that offer higher power output and less voltage drop. What does that mean for you? It means it provides the best voltage retention over the whole race. I would not put my name on this battery if I did not believe in it. This battery features: Battery Type: 2S4P Soft Pack Voltage: 7.4V Capacity @ 7.4V: 6300mAh Watt Hour @7.4V: 46.62Wh Wire & Connector: 8AWG with XT90 plug Balance Connector: XH Specifications: Dimension: 94x60x35 mm Weight: 365g What is a 2S4P battery? This 2S4P battery is built with eight 2400mAh / 3.8 volt cells. They are wired as 4 cells in parallel x two sets, and then these two sets of 3 cells are wired in series. When you use the same formula to compare this to a typical 2S2P battery you lose capacity, while the voltage remains the same. In drag racing we normally don't worry about capacity, however, there is a benefit for drag racing, when we use 4 cells in parallel compared to 2 cells in parallel. There's more science to it than this, but generally speaking, increasing the cell count, in effect, allows us to pull the required energy (amperage) from more cells, which improves the voltage drop. So, at the start of a race, when you first pull the throttle, the motor requires a lot of amperage, let's say 130 amps for example. This really pulls the voltage down very quickly. Let's say for the first 20 feet of a race, using a 2S2P battery, your voltage drops from 8.4 volts to 8.0 volts, but using a 2S4P battery the voltage only drops to 8.2 volts. As you can see, by increasing the cell count, we can potentially improve our battery voltage for the first 20 feet and continue this for the full run. This can make a huge difference by the end of a race! You have a definite advantage over someone using a 2S2P battery. Turn on the win light at the top end of the track with Rotor Ron Win Light Batteries!
