Description: An rotary table alignment fixture designed to easily calibrate the center line of the rotary with the desired axis on your machine. Made with precision with our in house lathes. Made in America. How It Works: The actual center line of the rotary must be aligned with the desired axis in two directions, parallel (side view XZ) and collinear (top view XY). This alignment fixture gives us the ability to check the spindle center line to be collinear and parallel, in this case, with the X axis. Imagine a top view and a side view of the rotary table on the desired axis were it is set, in this case we are on the X axis. The top view (XY) will need to be collinear with the X axis, and the side view (XZ) will need to be parallel with the X axis. Using this tool will project the actual center line of the the rotary spindle 10 inches out. Making, normally invisible, inaccuracies visible. After indicating both the rigid and non-rigid bushings on the tool, we have a rotary axis true to the machine X axis. Now, we can get an accurate center line for our Y axis. Without this tool we would have to indicate the face plate of the table using the Z axis and Y axis. This introduces imperfections that might exist in the X, Y, or Z axis; throwing the rotary table out of proper alignment. This of course effects performance. This tool saves time and frustration; you will see the results in accuracy.
