Description: Antique Rose O'Neill collector plate, signed by artist Florence Baker circa 1912-1913. This adorable plate has Kewpie laying on a the grass while playing her banjo. Plate measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and has a slightly raised inner rim on the back side. Made of pure white porcelain and tinted on the upper surface with soft green shading, gold trim and delicate hand painted gold leaves. A precious piece created by the talent of Rose O'Neill. Condition is excellent. No wear at all to the green glaze, gold trim or Kewpie's full image. The back side of the plate has four tiny dabs of gold spatter in spots. The plate has no manufacturers mark on the back and I assume it is Made in Germany where all of her goods including Kewpie dolls were manufactured.
