I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up in a home w/Rookwood tiles, fireplace mantels, bathrooms, wainscottings in family room, wife went to Newcomb Collge School of Art/Tulane University. At one time we owned 50+ Rookwoods, 20+ Newcombs, many Wellers still, Van Briggles, Rosevilles, Teco, Gruebys..this is the 2nd oldest RW we own and this piece done by AMB early 1887 the other piece by her for sale, done after marriage to Albert Valentein in July 1887,so initials are AMV.
