Description: This is an original checkered "Bobby Lee" guitar strap owned and used by Rick Nielsen, last used onstage at Japan Jam on August 19, 1980. The Atlanta Rhythm Section opened for them at 3 Japan Jam shows and ARS, Cheap Trick, and their crews all became good friends. The crews worked together, helping out both bands. My good friend Jerry Coody was a member of the ARS crew for many years (verifiable on Discogs) and was with them at these shows in Japan. Backstage after the Aug 19th show Rick gave this guitar strap to Jerry. Jerry gifted me the strap and some other memorabilia sometime in the late 1980s - he said he had "too much of this sh*t". Sadly we lost Jerry in 2010. I have kept it carefully stored away all of the years since. It is in the exact same condition Jerry received it in (which is astonishingly good). It has some staining on it from being used by Rick and has never been cleaned. Shipping only within the 48 contiguous US states and Canada, due to concerns about shipping it overseas.
