*RESTORED w/ SSD* Custom Windows 98 Vintage Retro Classic Gaming PC Nvidia

Description: A mixture of brand-new and expertly refurbished used parts. My classic computers are a little more special than the others you see here on eBay. Mine come with new and refreshed versions of their old operating systems, and come loaded with lots of fun games and useful software. I think you will agree that my standard of cleanliness and presentation are a touch above. I have been building PCs for the last 23 years and have built over 300 computers in my career. I used computers like these back when they were new and relevant and have intimate knowledge and experience of how they work. This computer: Is one of my flagship 90's computer restoration projects, just barely in time for the holidays. This computer is entirely custom-built by yours truly with the quality and care that eBay has come to expect from me. Complete disassemble and deep clean of all parts. CPU block and heatsink resurfaced with new thermal paste. The original CPU fan was dead so I had to mount a standard fan to replace it on the block. Power supply was disassembled deep-cleaned and rebuilt. The secondary CD-ROM is just there to fill an empty slot. It does not work and is not connected. CD-RW and floppy disk drive are both tested and working. There is a CD-ROM audio cable installed direct to the audio card for CD-ROM audio in certain games. The A-Bit BE-6 was originally intended to be a workstation board and the dual-integrated IDE controller are evidence of that. The white IDE ports (3 and 4) are connected to the faster Ultra 66 controller so that is why the components are connected there. The black ports use a slower 33Mhz Intel controller. In Windows 98 the intel controller is not fully functional due to conflicting resources with the faster controller. For this reason the intel IDE controller is disabled in BIOS..Using the Nvidia Riva TNT AGP GPU -Using one of my brand-new C-Media C3DX sound cards which I've made into a standard part for my PCs. These are reproductions of vintage Windows 9X era sound cards, they work in realmode DOS, and also give us a Gameport for the oldest PC game controllers. The ATX Specialty: Upgraded to modern SATA solid-state storage in place of the original HDD. This provides a quantum leap of response time, speed, and reliability that simply must be experienced in person. Running Windows 98 SE with the Plus! 98 addition. Mainly cosmetic items from the plus package are installed such as desktop themes and screensavers. Plus also included several now-redundant programs such as mcafee antivirus which I have NOT installed. Includes Peanuts, Doonesbury, Cathy themes etc. My Win98 PCs are also upgraded with the USB driver system from Windows Millennium, which allows them to access USB storage drives like a modern PC. So long as those drives are no larger than 136GB, and formatted in FAT32. Not sure how to do this? A simple text guide is included.
