Redback's UEPU Everest boots conquer weight, water and fatigue by combining the comfort and breathability of a three-piece boot with the protection of a one-piece upper. They use ProTec leather that is not only water resistant, but also heat resistant (and even chemical resistant – should you accidently wander into an acid plant!). They use a full outer bellows tongue, with the entire tongue stitched to the outside of the shoe. This folds in on itself when laced, so nothing can get in no matter how far 'out there' you go.
