Most of the slab is agate, with just a little bit of quartz near the top. This slab will display well either front lit or back lit. If you look at the pictures you will see that 5 photos are taken with the light on the front of the slab, and last 4 photos show the slab backlit. As you could can see the slab can be displayed many ways. It is a very beautiful slab, and it would be a great addition to your collection or as a gift to someone who appreciates minerals. Agate is a variety of quartz. Agates are found all over the world, but Brazil is the main source of most of the agate geodes. The slab is 5 inches long, 3 7/8 inches high, and 3/16 thick.
